Introduction
Professor Jackson HO has over 40 years’ experience as an engineer and an entrepreneur. He started as an apprentice in the transportation industry and was Managing Director of six international corporations in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore before his official retirement in early 2013.
Professor Ho is a member of the China National Standardization Technical Committee for Air Cargo and Ground Support Equipment, and is Founding President of the Hong Kong Aviation Industry Association, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Airline Service Providers Association and Vice Chairman of The Federation of Automobile Services Industry Hong Kong. Professor Ho holds Fellowships of SAE International – USA, the Institute of the Motor Industry (UK), the Institute of the Road Transport Engineers (UK) and the Society of Operations Engineers (UK). He is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong.
In the aerospace and transport sector, Professor Jackson Ho, is currently is an approved Quality Manager in HKCAD HKAR21- subpart K (HPMA). He was also approved by HKCAD, FAA, EASA and CAAC in the past twenty years as an Accountable Manager and Quality Manager in HKAR145, FAR145, JAR145, CCAR145 and SAR145. He is also an Advisor for HKAR21-subpart G Production Organisation Approval and Quality Manager for AS9100, ISO9001 and AS9120. He is also a multi engine pilot in Australia.
He is a Fellow and renowned Professional Mobility Engineer in SAE International (www.sae.org) and also a HKSAR Government recognized expert in the land transport sector for matters in road safety, traffic regulations, accident investigation, vehicle emission and maintenance. Prof. Ho received the Medal of Honour (MH) from the SAR Government for his significant contribution in these areas. He is also one of a few top experts in Hong Kong having thirty years’ experience in traffic accident reconstruction and giving expert opinion in courts.
